Privacy policy

Last updated 2026-10-01. Interim version pending legal review.

Who we are

Kemeia is operated by 2834467 Alberta Incorporated, 246 Stewart Green SW, Unit 2226, Calgary, Alberta T3H 3C8. Our Privacy Officer is responsible for this policy and for your personal information: troy@kemeia.ca.

What we collect

Why we collect it

To review your application and contact you about it, to arrange an introductory call, to prepare a partner agreement if we both want to proceed, to keep the form from being abused, and to understand which pages and channels bring us partners. We send partner updates by email or text only if you tick the box asking for them.

Consent and contact

Sending an application means you agree that Kemeia may contact you about it by email or phone. Ongoing updates need the separate, unticked box on the form. Every update we send identifies Kemeia, carries our mailing address and has a working unsubscribe link or reply instruction. You can withdraw either consent at any time by writing to the Privacy Officer.

Service providers and where your information is stored

We use service providers that may store or process your information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it is subject to the laws of that country. Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act asks us to tell you this when we collect your details.

How long we keep it

Applications that do not lead to a partnership are deleted 6 months after we receive them. Records of partners are kept for the term of the partner agreement and for the period Canadian tax and commercial law requires afterwards. Analytics data is retained by Google for 14 months.

Cookies and browser storage

You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.

Your rights

You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and withdraw consent. Write to the Privacy Officer at troy@kemeia.ca. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Security

Application records are stored in a database that only our server can reach, over encrypted connections, with access limited to the people who review applications.

We will post any change to this policy here with a new "last updated" date. Questions go to the Privacy Officer, or see our website terms.
